Trip Itinerary
28.12.24 : CHIANG MAI CITY AND TEMPLE TOUR (-/L/-)
Meet your guide at Chiang mai International Airport and transfer to a local restaurant for lunch.
In the afternoon visit Chiang Mai’s most beautiful Lanna Architecture at Wat Phrasing. Pay homage to the sacred Buddha statue, Phra Phuttha Sihing which is enshrined in Vihan Lai Kham, a Chapel that features exquisite woodcarvings and northern style murals.
Then proceed to Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep, home to a holy relic of the Lord Buddha and considered by many to be the most sacred wat in northern Thailand. Built in A.D. 384 and situated 3,500 feet above sea level, this temple offers an interesting challenge as it contains a flight of over 300 steps to reach its top level. Once on top of the summit, visitors will be treated, listen to Monks chanting then enjoy to a panoramic view of the city.
Check in at the Kantary Hill Hotel or similar. Rest of the day at leisure.

29.12.24 : DOI INTHANON NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
Breakfast at the hotel.
08.00am Be ready for an early departure from your hotel to Doi Inthanon National Park. Doi Inthanon is the highest mountain of Thailand (2,776m) and was declared a national park in 1972. The park boasts the greatest diversity of tree and bird species found in any single park in the country. Continue to the summit of Doi Inthanon, but on the way we pay a visit to the Royal Project, which provides villagers with profitable work and therefore a better livelihood. Once we reach the summit of Doi Inthanon Mountain we continue easy hiking through the evergreen forest along a nature trail and waterfalls, enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding hills and rice plains far below. Visit the royal twin pagoda and return to Chiang Mai and transfer to hotel.

30.10.24 Chiang Mai – Kanta Elephant Sanctuary – Home Host Dinner (B/L/D)
Arrive at Kanta Elephant Sanctuary. Walk through and learn about the elephants, change into traditional clothing and prepare fruits for our elephants. Meet the elephants. Feed, interact, and play with the elephants in a natural environment and get muddy as you learn about their behavior and history.
Take photos with the elephants. Walk with and observe elephants when they are in a river for bath, and you have chance to join them. 11.00 am Get some tea, coffee and season fruit then say goodbye to the elephants. Leave Kanta Elephant Sanctuary and drive back to Chiang Mai.
15.00 Pickup from hotel to visit a local family living in a traditional Northern Thai house, surrounded by green farm and small rice field. Welcome by the family in northern Thai style and enjoy delicious snack, followed by a fun cooking experience with a local family in traditional Thai kitchen. Learn about Northern Thai daily life and organic herbal plants in the garden, sib herbal tea, and enjoy hands-on cooking typical northern Thai food including steam sticky rice, chilli dips, chicken curry, papaya salad etc.
20.00 Transfer back to the Empress Premier Hotel for overnight.
31.10.24 : CHIANG MAI HANDICRAFT VILLAGE – COUNTDOWN FESTIVAL
After breakfast visit Chiang Mai morning market, Kad Luang, for shopping.
Then continue to Bo sang, Chiang Mai’s famous production of Sa paper and umbrellas. Return hotel and free time to explore Chiang Mai or get ready for the festival.
17.30: Transfer to the Count Down Festival Venue by a private car/van.
18.30: Arrival at the festival venue and check-in. Enjoy CAD cultural village and traditional temple fun fair activities. Enjoy Lanna delicacies.
20.00: Enjoy premium shows of Lanna Orchestra, dance performances, and international dance performance.
22.30: Contemporary Performances and Dramatic Show
23.30: Light and Sound Show
00.00: 30 Minutes of Fire Work Spectacular Show with 6 sets of international fireworks, 5 minutes long each.
00.30: Return transfer to Chiang Mai and Hotel.
